We had a wonderful breakfast this week at Choux Box. The staff were attentive, chatty and very nice. You don’t get that in Brisbane. Food was very delicious, great portions and the coffee was also excellent.
For over 30 years, Choux Box has been a dependable fixture in the Kingscliff dining scene and our family dining traditions — reliable, consistent, and quietly confident in what it offers. Today, we chose it as the setting for a special occasion: my wife’s birthday. It proved to be a fitting choice. The menu presented a well-considered array of food and drink options, blending familiar favourites with a few creative touches. What stood out was the quality — fresh ingredients and well-executed dishes. Service was another highlight. The wait staff were attentive without being intrusive, polite, and genuinely helpful — the kind of hospitality that keeps us coming back. Choux Box steady presence and commitment to doing things well make it a valuable part of the Kingscliff dining experience. It delivered exactly what we hoped for: a relaxed, enjoyable meal that felt just right for the occasion.

Was recommended to check this place out for breakfast and I’m so glad I did! The breakfast was so fresh, balanced in flavour and well prepared - was an absolute treat! And the coffee was spot on too! Not to mention the beautiful venue and the friendly and efficient staff. Highly recommend!
Quick & easy service- provided the options to order either face to face or on a QR code. Large variety of breakfast foods and drinks. Coffee was great, along with the food - we got the smashed avo and belgium waffles. Food came out very quickly, and staff were friendly. Would recommend
Hmmmm…. Great seating outside and tables were well spaced when we went. Food was ok, in fact it was quite good. It was served really well and tasted as it should. The service was excellent and the staff were fabulous. A staff member even got the 4legged member a bowl of water which was much appreciated. It is on the more pricey side of a cafe and wondering if it was really worth it. It cost just over $80 for x2 non alcoholic drinks and x2 meals. These prices you would probably see more from a more sought after Restaurant. The Choux has been a regular of Kingy Cafe life for a very ‘long’ time and is still owned by the original owners I believe. I am a local and have been here a few times over the years… every time has been different from the bad to the very good. Looks like this is a place where you really have to make up your own mind.

Service is bang-on, with staff keeping things friendly and efficient. Cleanliness? Spotless, down to the details. Street dining isn’t always for everyone, but Choux Box manages to keep it comfy and pleasant, making it a solid choice for a morning out.
Arrived and initially disappointed to find there were no choux pastries in the cake cabinet. A little slow to take our orders but food came quickly and service was great before and after that. Impressed with the menu selection and variety. Food was delicious, fresh, colourful and generously portioned. Shout out to our lovely and attentive waitress from Yorkshire.
